London, UK – Focusrite celebrates the 10th anniversary of its iconic Scarlett range of audio interfaces with “The Bedroom” — a video series of live performances by an eclectic mix of artists including Jordan Rakei, Aziya and Mae Muller.
The Bedroom series pays homage to the space where creativity often begins for a music-maker, a place where songs are born, refined, and rehearsed. Focusrite has always championed developing artists and The Bedroom series celebrates contemporary music of all genres.
Episode 1 features multi-instrumentalist and producer, Aziya, performing two songs — ‘Marathon’ and ‘Slip!’. Recording her first EP at home, Aziya is no stranger to recording with just the tools within her reach and is inspiring a generation to take up guitar and make their own mark in rock music. In a genre that is traditionally male-centric, Aziya credits many female-led artists as her influences, including the likes of St Vincent, H.E.R and Grimes.
A new episode will drop every three weeks across Focusrite’s YouTube, Facebook and Instagram channels. Viewers can watch their new favorite artists, from emerging indies to established veterans, make The Bedroom their stage and bring the room to life — performing two songs each. These original and live performances will make you smile, get you moving, bring a tear to your eye, and everything between.
Other featured artists include L Devine, Kojaque, Mae Muller, Yonaka, Jordan Rakei, Sipho & Wargasm.
The Bedroom series commemorates a decade of making music accessible to anyone, anywhere with Scarlett. Now in its third generation, with over four million users across 250 countries and territories, Scarlett has helped make more records in bedrooms and beyond than any other interface in history.
